Crossroads and ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc. partner to better medical care in south Kazakhstan’s hospitals through the donation of medical equipment
Conditions in rural hospitals in Kazakhstan are improving but help is certainly welcome. Crossroads recently received a large donation of goods from America which included 60 top-quality hospital beds, 7 examination tables, 4 gurneys and other assorted medical equipment. Over the course of a couple of weeks, we had the privilege of distributing them to 19 hospitals, the majority of which are located in rural areas.
“These beds are fantastic,” a doctor from a Shymkent tuberculosis hospital declared. “The beds provide exactly the sort of support our patients really need to recover well.”
It’s wonderful to see such practical reallocation of resources which is directly impacting the level of medical care in southern Kazakhstan.
