Crossroads is entirely financed by donations. However, we do not simply use a percentage of a donated dollar to help people in need. Instead, a donated dollar can be “multiplied” up to 30 times its value in the goods it allows us to send. We call this multiplication, the ‘Crossroads Equation’. For example, a recent cash donation of US$500 enabled us to send US$15,000 worth of goods to charities in Almaty province, Kazakhstan. |

Sponsor a wheelchair!
A wheelchair can be a life changing gift for a person with a disability. Many people with disabilities in Central Asia are not able to afford to purchase a wheelchair and live rarely seeing anything beyond the four walls of their home. A wheelchair gives the gift of mobility and independence. We have a waiting list of over 40 individuals who have requested wheelchairs from us.
Cost to purchase a wheelchair: USD130 (19000 tenge)
Sponsor a shipment!Crossroads has never paid for a shipment. Freight services are either given or sponsored. We are hugely grateful to the various individuals and organizations whose donations continue to make these shipments possible, getting these wonderful donated goods to those that need them.

Transport costs for sending goods from our Shymkent, Kazakhstan site to a Central Asian recipient typically range between US$100 – $2000, depending on shipment size and destination. - Sponsor a shipment to Central Asia
Ship a forty foot container to our Kazakhstan site. Each container costs approximately US$8000 to ship but brings with it US$80,000-100,000 of goods!
Sponsor a project!- AIDS Xperience: An interactive, educational tool, where participants are able to walk in the shoes of someone who has become at risk of contracting HIV. Funds needed: USD7500
- Home visits: Our team carries out weekly visits to people who are less mobile and in need of assistance, or just in need of a friend. Monthly project costs: USD100
Operating ExpensesContributions, large or small, towards our monthly running costs are greatly appreciated. These expenses include internet, utilities, team travel expenses, printing, lunches for volunteers, and maintenance and repairs.
